December 20, 1985: Almost Navidad again. Time to think about my life and what I will do with it. I don´t know what to do with it and it worries me.

Hard

December 15, 1985: I have a hard time accepting the fact that my Tia´s illness is hopeless. I don´t want to lose her. She, on the other hand, is resigned to her fate.

Nice

December 6, 1985. It was a really good birthday. Some of our old neighbors came to see her and my Tia´s face was no longer wrinkled. Her eyes shone and sadness dids not exist.

Hugs

December 5, 1985: I want my Tia to have hugs, plenty of hugs today. It´s her birthday. Nothing should make this day uncomfortable or remind her of our uncertain, always uncertain, situation.

Why

December 2, 1985: Why do I love him? Why Luis? No, the priest thing isn´t it. I never cared about that, never will. It´s not like authority figures were ever important to me.

Another

November 30, 1985: Another year is almost gone. What have I accomplished to make my Tia´s situation better? What have I done for me, to make me happier, if not altogether happy?
